CAT Examination 2012

CAT is the most prestigious B-school entrance examination in India. Aspiring MBA students wish to bell the CAT to get admissions to some of the best MBA colleges in the country. The sale of CAT 2012 forms proved the popularity of this examination among the Indian students. The sale of forms for CAT 2012 stood at 2.15 lakh. This despite the fact the global economy is moving at a slow pace.
  
CAT is organized by the IIMs of the country. This year along with the IIMs, Prometric is helping in conducting the test. The organization reported that after the last day sale of forms, the preliminary figures available summed at 2.15 lakh CAT vouchers. This is an increase in sale of forms from last year. CAT 2011 forms were sold about 2.06 lakh.

 A survey conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council pointed the reason for the increased demand in management education. There has been a renewed growth in study of business management education in India and across the world. More students are considering studying different forms of management education available now a days.
This survey is conducted every year and reflects the changes in study preferences related to management education. For 2012, there is inclination towards master’s programs with specialization in finance, accounting and management. There is an overall improvement in the MBA program.

Clearing the CAT 2012, students will get admissions to top MBA colleges in India. Presently, under the IIM group, there are 13 autonomous institutes. The IIMs are located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Shillong, Kashipur, Lucknow, Rohtak, Ranchi, Udaipur, Tiruchirappalli and Kozhikhode Other reputed institutes which accept the scores of CAT are Mudra Institute of Communication in Ahmedabad,  S P Jain Institute, Mumbai, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Delhi School of Economics, New Delhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management. Common Admission Test and gives entry to reputed MBA colleges in India. The CAT board told that like last 2011, the 2012 examination paper consist two sections. Aspirants have to be proficient in computers as this is a computer-based exam. The sections of CAT 2012 will be of 1 hour and 10 minutes duration. Both the sections will have 30 questions. The sections will have questions on Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation.
