Heard the phrase, burning the midnight’s oil- this is very true of students studying for the MBA semester examinations. I was busy with my third semester exams for my management program. There was a marathon of papers to give and I literally proved the above phrase correct. After I finished my college, I was unsure of future course of action. Being from a small town, I was unsure of career prospects of higher studies. I always wanted to work in a big brand and wished to have a good life.
Seeing me worried, one of my friend’s uncle suggested that I should join a MBA program. So, after college, I researched for the courses available in the country and the types of course that will match my career goal. I had worked hard in my graduation years and scored a good percentage. This made me eligible for most of the MBA programs and I finally was selected in a reputed college giving MBA degree. The college was affiliated to the state university and so was offering postgraduate degree and not diplomas as done in private institutions.
Now, I’m happy with my choice of career. The management programs not only teaches my about the concepts and latest corporate trends but it enhances my skills in thinking and communication. The campus life is even fun, with lot of fun and cultural activities happening from time to time. But I suggest one important thing to al the aspirants of management programs. The course demands a lot of study time and if regular studies are the only way to excel.
The third semester examination includes compulsory paper like Marketing Research, Principles of Sales Management, Advertising Management and Consumer Behavior. Since I have selected Brand Management as my optional paper, this required even more attention. Though I am now done with my third semester exams, I will not be free as of now because of the ongoing pre-placement seminars happening in the college campus. Being one of the volunteers, I am giving a helping hand to the organizers.
