# What is CAT?
CAT refers to Combined Admission Test. CAT is jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Management - IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow.

# Is CAT score applicable to other management colleges?
Yes, some of good business schools like SP Jain, Indian Business Schools consider CAT's score as a criteria for admission. There are roughly 40* institutes that consider CAT score for short listing candidates.

*No of institutes considering CATs scores for short listing candidates can be different for different years.

#What is the Eligibility Criteria for CAT

The candidate applying for CAT must have 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Persons with Disability (PWD) category], of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

#Can the candidates appearing for the final year apply?

Yes, the candidates who are appearing for the final year of their bachelor’s degree or are waiting results can also apply for the common admission test.

# When is the Exam for CAT conducted?

The CAT exam is usually conducted on third Sunday of November every year.

# Where can I get the forms for CAT Exam?

The CAT notification is usually released after mid July every year in all leading newspapers of the country. Application forms are available from leading banks usually for a period of a month as mentioned in the notification.

#What is the paper structure for the Common admission test?

Though, the paper pattern changes every year (or is tentative to change) however the major sections include:

Ø Verbal ability and reasoning,

Ø Reading Comprehension,

Ø Quantitative skills,
