B-school students were recruited by various
companies in the class of 2012 in the FMCG sector. A survey conducted by Nielsen found that most
of the students from MBA institutes of India were in the part of this
sector. Hindustan Unilever Ltd., one of
the common brands in this sector, has emerged as the preferred employer. The
other sectors include the IT, and banking and finance sector.
In a
survey on B-schools in India, these facts were revealed. Other interesting facts
came into light. Neilsen, a known name in conducting survey came with these
facts in the 12th round of Campus Track.
Management students are always in demand
for their skills and business aptitude. Every year, top ranking B-schools have
excellent placement records and reputed organizations hire them. For the year
2012, the survey revealed that sectors such as FMCG, IT, and banking and
finance top the list of employing management graduates. Others who hired
B-school graduates were retail and business conglomerates.

For the batch of 2012, there were some preferred
recruiters. The survey revealed that HUL is the most preferred employer for management
graduates, followed by IT giant Google. Other companies were Aditya Birla
Group, Accenture, McKinsey & Co, Infosys and Microsoft. For the students, Hindustan Unilever is the
dream company.
