New MBA Courses in India

Everyone after completing college wants to do MBA program. Whether you are from an arts background, or got a degree in engineering, the next level of education always culminates in studying for a MBA Program. There is variety of MBA courses available, which makes it tough to select the right one. In addition, the competitive job market with more candidates applying for a MBA course, you really have to select something that is new and gives job satisfaction.
I was one of those candidates who were looking for newer MBA courses that was challenging enough. Regular MBA with specialization in Marketing or Human Resources is very common. With the changing job market and the uncertain economic landscape, I always wished for a course customized to my skills and abilities. Similar types of MBA courses are now available in various business schools in the country.
Courses in Sustainability Management are something very new and have a great future. The topics under this course include corporate social responsibility, carbon accounting, and environmental science and management. Many non-profit organizations focuses on carbon footprint reducing technologies and runs courses in MBA related to this topic. I sourcing the details for this course and let’s see if I am eligible for the same.
Another interesting MBA program that I am thinking of joining is a very new one- it is known as Social Intelligence. Yes, this is the name of the specialization. This course helps in enhancing excellent analytical skills that is a necessity for every business school graduate. The ability to manage people in a large organization requires special soft skills training. This is just one of the MBA programs that develop innovative leaders. Students can learn the various management styles and effective skills for team building.
Another interesting and new MBA Program is the Supply Chain Management, though this one does not excite me. I am looking forward to join any one of the above MBA courses.

Jobs Opportunities after MBA in Information Technology

I’m just wondering what types of jobs I will get after finishing my MBA in IT. I’m into my fourth semester and this thought is coming often. After my graduation from computer science, MBA in Information Technology was a gradual choice of study. The course content includes concepts, theories and problems related to the information technology sector. At present, I’ learning how to deal with situations in handling a team of software professionals and the real life problems faced by them. Though my course curriculum covers all the aspects in details, still there are concerns.

Even some of my friends share this common concern i.e. what after the MBA program. Whenever we get time from our studies and training work, we discuss our future prospects. The other day in the evening, we sat outside the campus gate, over a cup of tea and some cookies, and discussing the same. One of our professors, who shares great camaraderie with the students happened to join us. He felt our concerns and shared some wonderful career options after MBA IT.

A graduate who can master the concepts and business processes of the information technology sector can become a business analyst. As a business analyst, we need to understand the customer requirements and document the same for the delivery team. Persons who start as a business analyst can also become a consultant in the IT sector. Our professor also told that a career in pre-sales and sales are other good options.

Another challenging job after an MBA in is being a Project Manager. This position requires a lot of responsibility and understanding of the business processes. All the various levels of a project like planning, cost estimation, resource mobilization and time management have to be taken care of single handedly. He also pointed that students who are good at testing and numeric aptitude can be a testing manager. And everyone can always go in the field of human resources and take up managerial responsibilities like recruitment, appraisals and training.

Listening to the all the career options, my friends and I were relieved. Though we knew some of them, the details and coming from our teacher made us feel good. Just can’t wait of finishing my program.
