Work hard for your MBA Degree

Heard the phrase, burning the midnight’s oil- this is very true of students studying for the MBA semester examinations. I was busy with my third semester exams for my management program. There was a marathon of papers to give and I literally proved the above phrase correct. After I finished my college, I was unsure of future course of action. Being from a small town, I was unsure of career prospects of higher studies. I always wanted to work in a big brand and wished to have a good life.

Seeing me worried, one of my friend’s uncle suggested that I should join a MBA program. So, after college, I researched for the courses available in the country and the types of course that will match my career goal. I had worked hard in my graduation years and scored a good percentage. This made me eligible for most of the MBA programs and I finally was selected in a reputed college giving MBA degree. The college was affiliated to the state university and so was offering postgraduate degree and not diplomas as done in private institutions.

Now, I’m happy with my choice of career. The management programs not only teaches my about the concepts and latest corporate trends but it enhances my skills in thinking and communication. The campus life is even fun, with lot of fun and cultural activities happening from time to time. But I suggest one important thing to al the aspirants of management programs. The course demands a lot of study time and if regular studies are the only way to excel.

The third semester examination includes compulsory paper like Marketing Research, Principles of Sales Management, Advertising Management and Consumer Behavior. Since I have selected Brand Management as my optional paper, this required even more attention. Though I am now done with my third semester exams, I will not be free as of now because of the ongoing pre-placement seminars happening in the college campus. Being one of the volunteers, I am giving a helping hand to the organizers.

The Wonderful College Days

Hey! I just can’t expect to share the news with you guys. The graduation ceremony is ringing round the corner. Just thinking about what kind of life will be post-college. I still remember the first day of my college. Actually even before joining, the entire admission process kept me on my toes. The running around from one office to another to get a course of my choice and registering my name in the various colleges in the city, all these memories will never fade.

Just to let you guys know, I got a good percentage in my higher secondary examination and was keen on studying on economics and mathematics. The subject combination was in great demand, made me worried, and tensed. I registered in some of the top colleges in the city, eagerly waiting for the final list of cutoffs. I still remember those initial days before joining the college. At last, I saw my name the desired subject combination and that too in my favorite college. Gosh! I was so happy.

The first day of the college was equally fun and interesting. I remember the welcome party thrown by my seniors and this was the place I met that girl. Dressed in a simple indigo ‘salwar-kameez’, she was looking very pretty. We started talking about various things and soon became very good friends. And I tell you guys, we are now best friends. We both are eagerly waiting for our graduation day ceremony.

How can I forget those special three years of my college? Most of the days were spent in juggling classes and private tuitions in the evenings. Weekends were fun, as I used to spent time with my friends watching movies and eating at the various eateries.

Now, these fun years are ending. I feel I am very lucky to select this study combination. My best friends and I are planning do to a management course after we receive our degrees. Right now, just thinking of my graduation day ceremony.
